A China trip is expensive: flights, hotels, and a short window of meetings you may only get one chance at.
What separates a useful trip from a tiring one is rarely the itinerary template. It's the preparation, having someone on the ground, and what happens after you fly home.

Preparation
- A realistic schedule — meetings clustered sensibly, travel time honestly counted.
- Meetings arranged and confirmed in Mandarin, with the right people.
- Background briefs on the companies you're meeting — registration basics, what we can observe, and the open questions worth asking.
- A list of questions to ask and documents to request, agreed with you in advance.

On-the-ground support
- Accompaniment to factory and supplier visits — a second set of eyes, and someone who can ask the practical questions on the spot.
- Distributor and partner meetings — support in the room, with a professional interpreter coordinated where the meeting needs one.
- Trade fair support, including the Canton Fair — planning the days, working the relevant halls with you, and holding the follow-up conversations.
- On-the-spot follow-up — the question you think of at dinner gets asked the next morning.
03After
Follow-through
- A written visit report — what was seen, what was said, what it means, and what we recommend.
- Follow-up with every company met, in Mandarin, while the conversations are still warm.
- The commitments made in meetings — samples, quotations, documents — collected and kept moving. See Communication & Follow-up.
Practicalities
- Where. Based in Shanghai. Other Chinese cities — including Guangzhou, for the Canton Fair — by arrangement. Travel time and costs are agreed in the quote before you commit.
- Language. Communication support is available in English, German and Mandarin. Where a meeting requires specialist interpretation, we coordinate a professional interpreter.
- What it isn't. A travel agency service. We don't book your flights or hotels — though we're happy to advise on areas and timing. The work is business support: preparation, on-site support and follow-up.
- Trade fairs. Badge and entry practicalities for the major fairs are part of the planning; we flag any costs in advance.
Common questions
Do you travel outside Shanghai?
Yes, by arrangement. Trips outside the Shanghai area are quoted with travel time and costs shown separately.
Can you accompany us at the Canton Fair?
Yes — planning, on-site trade fair support, and follow-up on the companies you meet. Fair dates and badge logistics are confirmed during scoping.
We don't speak any Chinese. Does that matter?
No — that's a large part of what this service is for. We handle the Mandarin side of preparation and follow-up, and coordinate interpretation for meetings where it's needed.
Can you come to just one meeting?
Yes. Single-meeting support is a normal, small task — scoped and quoted like any other.
